The role

Working within the Professional Development (HR) team and also as part of a global Benefits team, we have an exciting opportunity for a Benefits Specialist to take ownership for the design and development of benefit policies and programs across Asia Pacific. This is a challenging role where you will use your strong relationship management, analytical and project management skills to make critical business decisions that impact on employee engagement and retention. We are flexible and open to where this position will be based - in our Hong Kong, Singapore or Tokyo office.

Responsibilities

- Develop relationships with benefits consultants, vendors, providers and manage these relationships on a day-to-day basis
- Manage the design and development of benefit policies and programmes ensuring proper consideration is given to market practice, local legislation and any local employee consultation requirements
- Ensure vendors meet Bloombergs customer service standards and adhere to agreed upon SLAs
- Ensure operational and administrative processes are effective. Identify and implement process improvements
- Proactively suggest enhancements to Global Benefits based on feedback, claims trends and market practice. Act as point of contact for escalated employee benefits questions
- Act as an adviser to the wider HR team
- Independently research a variety of related complex information requests and issues, working to resolve within the confines of the law and plan documents
- Manage the communication of new programs
- Maintain accurate benefits information on the HR Intranet
- Audit and process benefit invoices
- Manage Benefit Plan Renewals and market reviews
- Organise and run benefit fairs and Vitality days or any variance thereof
- Assist with the development of Bloombergs Global Wellness project; rolling out wellness initiatives across the Asia Pacific region
- Manage benefit information sessions such as pension seminars and other topics
- Working with the HR team in coordinating ergonomics projects

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a similar role in a professional services environment
- Either a HR or Benefits Consulting background
- An understanding of the Asia Pacific region (including Australia and New Zealand) legislation in relation to Benefits
- Good project management skills
- Ability to work independently in completing tasks and projects with minimal supervision
- Analytical/critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated skills in: detail orientation, service excellence, creativity and adaptability, dependability, time management, good judgement, decision making and teamwork
- Ability to run and analyse reports, and participate in technical problem resolution
- Accuracy and timeliness in execution of job responsibilities is essential

The Role:

Bloomberg L.P. ("Bloomberg") has an opportunity for a Trade Compliance Specialist in our Singapore office. The Trade Compliance Specialist works in conjunction with the Asia-Pacific Trade Compliance Manager and other Bloomberg Business Units and functional groups to maintain compliance with applicable import/export regulations and other applicable government agencies.

- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for both internal (Bloomberg) and external (brokers/agents/freight forwarders) operators.
- Review and enter compliance data into SAP and the Bloomberg system.

The role: Regional Data Center Facilities Manager, Asia Pacific
The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. Facilities Technicians on this team operate, monitor and support all facilities activity at Google's data centers. You take ownership of the operation and maintenance of water pumps and treatment systems, HVAC, UPS, generators, electrical distribution and control and monitoring Systems. You're at the forefront of best-in-class environmental practices. You bring the ideas of our Data Center Engineers to life and develop creative approaches to reducing operational costs while improving efficiencies. You ensure that problems are identified and repaired quickly, that contractors deliver quality services and preventive maintenance, and that safety measures are being performed. In emergency situations or abnormal conditions, you respond to data center performance issues and outages to minimize the recovery time from failures.
Responsibilities:

* Ensure the ongoing flawless operation of the data centers in several locations throughout the region.
* Ensure that facilities problems are identified and repaired.
* Ensure that contractors are delivering quality services and that internal customer demands are being met.
* Work to find creative ways to keep operational costs to a minimum.
* Work with Team Members team members to improve efficiency and implement new data center strategies.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Related Third Level Qualification in Engineering. In lieu of qualification, 10 years relevant work experience
* Experience as a Facilities Manager or Datacenter Portfolio Manager for large datacenters and properties in excess of 50,000 square feet of raised floor) in East Asia or South East Asia

Preferred Qualifications:

* Excellent technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center or critical infrastructure environments- including feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, chillers, air handling units and CRAC units.
* Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
* A willingness to provide on call support in case of emergencies or other off hours facility related issues.

* Track and trend operational characteristics

Minimum Qualifications:

* Associate?s degree, trade school certification, other verifiable training in a relevant technical field. In lieu of qualification, 10 years of relevant work experience
* 2 years at journeyman or technician level or similar in a critical environment, especially data center, hospital, or power plant experience
* 2 years in mechanical/HVAC, electrical, or a combination of both. Mechanical applicants must have or obtain a Universal Refrigerant Handler?s certification. Electrical applicants must have or obtain licensing if required by the local jurisdiction

Preferred Qualifications:

* Excellent understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, including: Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, Chillers, Air handling units and CRAC units
* Ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work on these systems
* Ability to learn quickly and address issues as they arise during normal working hours or when on call.
* These positions require shift work that includes weekends and holidays.

The role: Network Engineer, Deployment
As a Network Deployment Engineer, you will help to grow one of the world's largest and most complex private data networks. You will design, build, and integrate new Google POPs and datacenters and will plan and execute upgrades and augmentations to Google's existing network. You will also work closely with project managers, network architects, and other network engineers to develop standards, templates and best practices and to continuously improve our operation. In addition to the technical requirements listed below, the best candidates will have a flexible, can-do attitude, strong organization and communication skills and the ability to work with little supervision either independently or as part of a successful team. Top candidates will also be able to recognize and reinforce the importance of details like documentation, cable management, and meticulous network designs.
Responsibilities:

* Work closely with other engineers and project managers to provide on-site and remote oversight of the installation and commissioning of new sites, routers, and WDM rings/systems, including hot-cut and parallel-build node moves.
* Produce rack elevations, site layouts, and cable/port maps from higher-level network designs.
* Turn up new WAN/LAN transport circuits (SONET, 10GE, etc.) and WDM links. Troubleshooting with vendors and onsite contacts as needed.
* Oversee maintainance of network documentation.
* Travel to support projects as needed (estimated at 25-50%).

Requirements:

* BA or BS in EE/CS/CE or equivalent experience.
* At least 5 years of experience in either network deployment, IP networking or optical experience or a combination of them.
* Strong knowledge of industry best practices for rack builds/rack and stack and cable management/dressing (especially fiber-optic cable).
* Experience installing and commissioning optical/WDM networks and testing and troubleshooting transport technologies (including SONET/SDH).
* Solid knowledge of IP fundamentals including IP addressing and VLSM, VLAN and routing configuration.
* Hands-on experience with power planning and installation (including AC- and DC-powered environments) is a significant plus.
